What do you guys look for when picking parts?

Go to solution Solved by Praesi,

Quality and Performance without spending more than necessary.

I only upgrade when absolutly necessary tho. I dont buy stuff only because its new and shiny.

Normaly i would be in my 5 Year upgrade cycle now, but Corona..,ya..you know the rest.

As long i can run Games on High. Im fine.

I love to look at parts but everybody has their own versions of perfect system, for me it's ITX, but some of my classmates prefer M-ATX. But what do you look for when you pick parts?

Here are my choices.

Case :

well ventilated, small and cheap (itx) - fractal design core 500

Well ventilated, well filtered, silent and well priced (M-ATX) - fractal design meshify c mini

CPU :

not overpriced and effecent.

Motherboard

Good vram and not too ugly

RAM :

Good price, low profile and no rgb

GPU

Quiet (Silent fans), value for money and black if possible

PSU

Seasonic or Corsair

Fans :

Quiet and no rgb

What about you guys?

Silent Cerberus - Fractal Design Core500,Ryzen R7 3700x,Scythe Fuma 2,Gigabyte Aorus B550i Pro AX,Crucial Ballistix Elite 3200mhz cl16 16gb,Adata XPG SX8200 nvme 512gb m.2 ssd,Lexar NS100 1tb ssd,Red Dragon RX5700 8gb(bio flashed 5700xt),Corsair SF600 SFX 600w 80+ platinum F-Modular.

Hades - dO.Ob Look into my eyes and see the dark eternal abyss that is your soul and pay for your hidden sins.

Cerberus - the hell hound that guards the gates of hell. Once you enter you'll never escape.

Pretty similar, though I’m less concerned with sizes and brands.  I also prefer non glass cases so internals aesthtics drops to zero for me.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Usually I go for twin towers, like with my core 500 the only twin can fit was the Fuma 2

Do artics come in black? So far in Singapore I've only seen white ones.

Core 500 for itx and NR400 non-tg edition for Matx, I've seen and used both they're very well built.

Sweet, just build my first PC about 7 months ago went itx to save space. Otherwise the looks are bare minimum, but performance wise it's a ferrari in a junker shell.
