I think this is side-effect of capitalism. Without going to political side of things, this same behavior has been up previously when someone asked about how much members on forums make. The amount of jealousy attached when someone working for high tier IT position was just absurd.

 

The root of capitalism is to make more and more money. So ofc when someone is making money, and you are fan of theirs and see what kind of lifestyle that money brings, they get interested if its actually for real or do they somehow cheat the system to gain such.

He doesn't reveal exact numbers but as he said, its no ones business but his own.

He said that, but he also basicly dared/challenged people to look at the info he gave out and try to figure out....both in that vid and on LAN show. He's not gonna tell someone they're right, but i wouldn't say he's minding people speculating and playing with math.
