Windows stuck on Shutting Down screen after 456.55 driver update

I just did a clean install of the latest Nvidia game ready driver 456.55 via the GeForce Experience app and since then whenever I shut down the system windows just remains stuck on the "Shutting down..." screen forever and won't turn off.

I've used the power off button on the case twice now, no other way to shut it off.

Anybody else having this problem or had something like this before?

I've seen stranger happen.

Just revert back to the previous driver and you should be good.
