I feel like in general game consoles just refuse to quit. My Wii and PS2 are still both running strong. My family even has an NES that still works. We found it up in the attic of my grandparents' garage. It was actually my dad's NES growing up, and he had completely forgotten they still had it. Dusted it off and tested some cartridges, and it still runs.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

The tech for me that hasn't died at all is one of my first laptops. My Acer Travelmate 2403WXCi from 2005. I did revive a relative's old Sony Vaio from 1999 or 2000 with a new hard drive that was cloned to, as the old one was grinding. Do those count?

I still have a Travelmate 4102 sitting in my room on the shelf. Still works though the display cable is messed up causing the screen to have randomly coloured lines running down it.

+1 for these little fuckers. I have two I got used in pretty beat up condition, a 5th and 6th gen. Both still work, original HDDs and AFAIK original batteries as well.

Nope. Still pops up and down just like it should. Sometimes it has a hard time reading the cartridges well, but if you're persistent enough you can get it to work just fine.

In terms of actively used tech thats 'old' ..probably my Plasma display which is my current primary (and only) PC display. I cant remember exactly what year i bought it but i think it was around 2007, so its roughly 13 years old now, which for a Plasma is effectively 'ancient'.

Come to think of it, my Z5500 Logitech speaker system is just as old and im still using that.

Every former laptop I've ever had. They're all obviously retired, but I could still boot them up and they're usable if I wanted them to be. My mum even uses one of my former ones and it's still alive and kicking.

I generally take care of everything I own like it's my own child, so if anything dies, that's a sign that I've done something gravely wrong. Even if the tech in question is literally a decade old.

Have an original Atari 2600 that my parents bought new in the early 1980's.  I pull it out once in a while when I need something really retro to play.  Had to replace the controllers with modern reproductions but the console itself still works great.
