i just know that the cpu jumps to 100 every few secs , which makes the mv or something drop to abt 300 from 1.5k+ , and thats causing fps drops

you mentioned you did a clean windows install (with a USB drive installer or built in factory reset?)

and ran DDU

and it's multiple games so it's either global settings, or hardware failure

you should reset everything, you undervolt, your overclock if any, everything back to stock setting

clear cmos if you can

see if it happens

if clearing everything doesn't fix it

reinstall OS from a new drive, let it finish update before installing anything else

other than that, i've got no clue

turning down game setting or applying an FPS cap

it's normal for GPU to reach 100% usage, but it's abnormal if your FPS suddenly drops to very low while it does it

ie

70 70 70 20 70 70 70fps

my fps is already capped , and my settings are medium , ok the problem isnt the usage its the drops in the mv clock , do u have in mind a possible fix ?

no not really, never seen such an issue unless it's hardware related

but if FPS isnt affected then it's nothing to worry about

if it does, then... it'll take some time to diagnose and doing it over the net is hard

hmm... it's not a common issue so it's hard to come up with the right term

my best guess would be

"gpu clocking down mid game"

that's your issue, your gpu clocks down occasionally

it could be driver issue but you DDU-ed

it could be stability issue, you can try downclocking it

but i have no idea.

  • 1 month later...

I had a problem if anyone could help my game was running smoothly till noon and when I started my game again now first due to some reason my game was lagging so  checked task manager and my processor was locked @0.78Ghz out of 4.3 and I found the solution on Youtube to just unplug and plugin my power cord.

After that my game fps had dropped to 18-20 the usual is 170-190(everything high). I tried tweaking the graphics and max i could get was 50 fps. I'm sure something is wrong but I don.t know how to find it. Please Help!

Edit: Just reinstalling the game worked for me.
