Need a suggestion for a gpu upgrade

Suggestion needed!!

Hi  I want to upgrade my My gpu from gtx1070 to rtx3080 will I have any issues with my CPU and also should I upgrade my RAM. By the way I am a game development student and this pc will mainly be used for content creations.

Why are you upgrading? Do you need a better GPU to help with developing or do you want it to play games.

 

If you are playing at 1080p it will probably bottleneck more than its worth. At 1440p it should be okay if you overclock the CPU. 4K you probably have nothing to worry about.

I wanted to upgrade because I sometimes face issues while rendering.

I do play games but not that often.

What is the issue with rendering? It might not be a GPU problem and if you upgrade it might not fix it.

GPU gets heat fluctuation and unreal gets hanged. If I am not rendering I have no issues.
