Help me decide which 3080 to buy?

I can't decide which design of 3080 would work best with my PC (image attached I think). It's either gonna be the ROG Strix one or the Founders card. Which would work best with the aesthetic?

I've seen em both, but I can't decide if I want the RGB of the ASUS or the sleek apple-ness of the founders card

I really like the founders design this gen. However right now the answer is likely which one can you get for close to MSRP.

R9 3900x, 32gb 3200mhz corsair dominator RGB, 1070Ti Founders Edition, HP 512GB PCIe M.2 SSD

Less is more when it comes to controlling RGB via software.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Kill Trident Z RGB - Force MP500 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G2 650W - Black and green theme, Razer branwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Dual Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - GTX 750 TI - old Seagate 1.5TB HDD - Dark moded Ubuntu (and Win7, cuz why not)

How many watts do I need? Seasonic Focus threadUserbenchmark (Et al.) is trash explained, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I personally think the aesthetic of the FE is really nice, but will it fit in your RGB build?  I think you would be better served with something with RGB.

That said, the above recommendations hold water too.  RGB isn't worth a big markup to me, may be for you.

FE looks the nicest by far, but I'm starting to hear reviews that the FE VRMs are reaching 100+ degrees after only 30 minutes of load.  Not necessarily a deal-breaker but some AIB models are getting better cooling across the VRMs

FE would look better for sure. you could just slap on some led strips too so it fit in even better with that setup.

aftermarket cards just look mostly tacky imo, especially rog, strix, etc

(*my msi gaming x looks actually decent but I'm not sure about the newer cards, they look a bit worse on pics though)
