What TV did you watch as a young child?

pythonmegapixel

For me in the UK it was largely Postman Pat, Balamory and Come Outside, with a bit of other stuff thrown in...

You may also remember In The Night Garden which, since its inception in 2007, has basically been *the* bedtime program here in the UK, being the last thing shown on the CBeebies before going off air each evening, pretty much for the entire duration of the past 13 years. There are 100 epsiodes which simply repeat (not that this really matters given it's for very young children who only watch it for a few years), and they are intended to relax and calm kids before bed while also educating them on simple concepts such as sharing. It's rather beautiful; pity I was a bit old for it when it started.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

Who’s line is it anyway, Home Improvement (being from the Metro Detroit area, all the Michigan/Detroit tie ins were the coolest thing ever), TONS of Hockey and Racing with my Dad.

Those 3 are what stand out to me the most.

Come Outside. Postman Pat. Thomas the Tank Engine. By the time I was 7 I started watching Cartoon Network. My all time favourite has been Ed Edd n Eddy. Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Johnny Bravo were the others to name a few.

2007 HD ready Bravia. My family still hasn't changed living room TV. To make things even worse, my bedroom had 1080p Toshiba.

Well it kind of depends on what age group is considered "young child" but the ones that I have fond memories off are, Regular Show, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, The Fairly OddParents, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Dexter's Laboratory and Cow and Chicken, there's a few more that I probably missed, but these were kind of the defining cartoons of my childhood.

Similat. Though I didn't like Steven Universe and wasn't able to see the latter half of the shows you mentioned as I wasn't old enough to understand them.

I was big into mid-2000s Nick and Cartoon Network, alongside Boomerang. Also had (have) a ton of VeggieTales tapes and DVDs from my childhood that I enjoyed.
