If you can wait, RTX 3070 should have about the same or slightly better performance compared to 2080Ti, while coming out cheaper (starting at 499). We haven't seen benchmarks yet though, so can't say any certain numbers.

Don't buy anything till October 28, wait to see what RDNA 2 shapes up to be. My guess is it'll be a $400 card to undercut the 3070, just like the 5700/xt

I dont want to be a fanboy of a green team but i am a user of nvidia for some time now and AMD is not a card for me unfortunately. Even if it has more performance than 3090..

bit expensive for used. they are probably worth about 500 now used, rather than 600.

the 3070 will probably be on par with it (my feeling is it will be just below in performance), but for cheaper

well then you are a fanboy are sorry to say this but you are not clever. If AMD has similar or better performance for less why not go for it?

keep in mind that this price is converted from CZK (i am from czech republic lol) and includes tax , which is high in czech (RTX 3080 costs 780 euro in here)

Like others have mentioned, I'd wait if you can, the market isn't really stable right now, it might be a good deal, or it might drop further when the 3070 launces.

Honestly, for 100€ more the RTX3080 seems worth it over the 2080TI, i'd pay that for 20-30% increase in performance + it not being used

I actually don't believe the RTX 3070 will be as good as a 2080TI, just like I didn't believe the RTX3080 was going to be 2x the performance of a RTX2080

Sure in select cases, or rendering applications it might be, but the 2080TI has 11GB VRAM going for it though benchmarks will tell the full story

Not sure how it is in the Czech Republic, but in the US companies don’t like honoring warranties unless you are the original purchaser, just something to watch out for.

We will see , i dont want to be without a gpu for long time , i already have preorders going on local shops so.. The used RTX 2080ti we are talking about is in an auction , if it goes higher than 599 euro , then i will not bid anymore. Currently it is at 532 euro.

In Czech Republic , as long as you have original receipt , then the warranty is valid.

The situation is different with mobile phones and with devices that use sim cards.

599 is nothing, prices used to be 1500+ for 2080TI's

Currently the 3080 is 799 to 899 euro and the 3090 is 1599 to 1799 euro

This is EUROPE with a standard tax of 21% not US msrp pricing

599 for a 2080ti is a steal compared to the 599 prices for 2070 supers

Let's agree to disagree

Exactly what i think :) We will see about the auction , but i think if i would wait , i would see 3080 coming in two months and that is a big maybe..

Thank you for your reply

So it went a little higher , so i bought it for 619 euro , so i think still a great deal for this card. :) Card is on its way :)

seems like a good deal honestly, especially if you still have warranty.

The 3070 is allegedly the same speed as a 2080 Ti for 500 USD, probably fewer Euros.  Benchmarks aren't out and 3080/3090 are slightly underwhelming compared to the numbers from Jensen's presentation, but the 3070 will be a strong card no doubt

It's not a terrible price, better at around $500 euros though. I paid $950cad so $608 euros for an ftw3 2080ti was purchased new mid April. Has over 1000 days warranty left.

I had sold a bottom of the barrel gigabyte windforce card the same day for $800. This was two weeks ago.

How much warranty is left?

wait for 3070 benchmarks, but here's my current take, 2080 ti>3070 but will be close, but if they cost the same, then of course get the new card.

either way wait for 3070 benchmarks.

The only situation i'd pick that up is if the 3070 retails for 599 euros and you want a card now.

I suspect they were embellishing the 3070 performance the way they clearly did the 3080.  Who knows, we will see.

600 is honestly a great price for a 2080ti, especially if you need it now.  If you got one that can overclock well, it doesn't sit all that far behind the 3080.

All that being said, my preference in this situation would be to put 100 more in and get a 3080 > wait for 3070 reviews and maybe buy that...but honestly if you need it now, it still isn't a terrible deal in the whole scheme of things.
