Unable to login to Steam

For some reason suddenly i cannot log into steam, it tells me to check my connection.

Last night it worked flawlessly and NOTHING has changed to my knowledge. I can login via their website just not their software.

Anyone know how i can get around this?

Possible the Steam Servers have some Issues atm. Beside that. Only the Steam Support can help you.

@PraesiI think its a DNS issue.... As soon as i logged onto my VPN and tried it came to life with no issue.

Steam is pretty much pulling a psn last couple of months... You could have also tried resetting your router but I only had like 50% success with that.

Usually it's up after 1 hour btw...

I think this has happened around 30 times this year, recently stopped though and I only get the (totally unnecessary) 5 minutes disconnect every Monday and Tuesday.

Seems they have maintained me enough now and are moving on to other targets.

I thought i was going loopy.

Ive reset both modem and router, ive tried connecting modem to second ethernet so it would force a new IP address, i flushed DNS, i even swapped ethernet cables thinking one was on the blink.
