You're definitely not the only one. Mayo is big in Quebec, and my South African partner puts mayo on fries, burgers, breaded fish... ketchup may be more of a regional preference than you think.

Mostly agree. I think I've heard chefs say the main reason to use Ketchup is to balance the acidity. But otherwise Mayo is good, particularly on breaded fish, fried chicken, and any kind of fried thing.

Not gonna lie for me going from 60Hz to 165Hz feels like insanely huge difference. Smoothness is night and day difference for me. Most of that might be Not FreeSync vs going to FreeSync though.

Ketchup contains larger amounts of vinegar, actually, and so do tomatos, no matter how sweet the kind of tomato is. :) You just don't notice it that often because the trend seems to be heading to even more sugary, sweetened ketchup (that I personally dislike, I like the predominately acidy ones better).

I did know that actually, but I still don't like to put vinegar and ketchup on the same batch of chips.

It tends to be the cheap ketchup which is excessively sweetened. You can still find the superior stuff if you know where to look.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

It's interesting you say that, as (according to my observations) mayonaise is the standard fries/chips addition in the Netherlands, while much fewer people have ketchup. I've also always been baffled by how many people on the internet seem to find mayonaise that isn't put on something disgusting...

Unless you're an audiophile then I don't see any reason why you would want an MP3 player...

Phones are basically as big as tablets now anyway so two devices is a bit pointless

Given the fact it still gets regular upgrades and content made about it on YouTube I suspect a lot of people agree with you on that one.

Yes. That's because ketchup ruins the flavour of the chips; the only thing you taste is the ketchup. On top of that it seems to make the chips less crispy.

Outside of bacon, mayo, or cheese, condiments shouldn't be added to food. They detract from the actual food, and if your food needs condiments, then they aren't good enough.

Agreed. I would take that a step further though. People who immediately season food without tasting it  deserve a space in the special hell. Along with people who talk at the theatre.

My unpopular opinion(s):

I like pineapple on Pizza.

American Bacon is terrible.

I don't like pancakes. (crepes are fine though)

Automatic transmissions are just fine - I can't ever see my self going back to a manual.

Football (of both types) is over rated. As a UK resident married into a MA - Patriot loving - Brady-is-basically-one-step-below-Jesus US family this is enough to get me lynched both sides of the pond.

I like pretty much all music, I honestly have no preference.

I actually really enjoy my job and not working for 4 months nearly killed me.

This makes me scratch my head a bit. Isn't switching entire devices considerably more inconvenient than switching apps? And you can listen to locally-stored non-Spotify tracks on your phone, right? You can also set a Do Not Disturb mode or otherwise shut off notifications if you want an uninterrupted experience.

It's quite alright to like an MP3 player, but it sounds like you like it for the focus of a separate physical device, not so much that you can't replicate its experience on a phone.

no if I have a playlist cued on my mp3 player I just need to switch jacks

I don't think so (also I like having all my music files on separate things Specifically don't mix my music library with my photos)

Automatic transmissions are ok, but no changeable gears at all is best.  Which is to say: electric cars.

But yeah, anyone who prefers a manual on their daily driver clearly doesn't drive in stop and go traffic.  Spending 45 minutes barely even getting into 1st gear is a torture I would wish upon no-one.

Or if you're a masochist, a Nissan Altima.

I will say that for manuals to work as a daily, you can't have a car with a ridiculously heavy clutch. But in any case, I'll take a shitty 4-speed auto over a 6-speed manual for a daily.

Now hol' up there, pardner.  What kinda Altima are we talkin' about here?  I've had their V6 trim with a CVT and it was freakin' sweet.
