This is the problem with modern game development. There's no more artistry or innovation. Developers no longer have a deep connection to their work to the point it makes them tear up in the morning. No one cares if players who owned the game loved it. It's all about Wall Street and if revenues are just "good" and not gangbusters with repeated revenue, axe it.
