Razer releases gaming gum

After releasing gamer-oriented energy drinks, Razer launched their Respawn lineup consisting of gaming chewing gums. $27.99 gets you 10 packs, for a total of 150 units.

Coming from Razer, the price sounds reasonable to me although many would have been willing to pay more for RGB and other gaming features. I doubt that it will make you a better player or improve your performance but most of the Razer client base doesn't care much about that anyway. So why not?

This sounds a lot like the Lotte Black chewing gum I had in Japan about 17 years ago.  Caffeine and gingko-infused.  You can still get it via Amazon here in the US for an inflated price.

 

I don't think they ever advertised it as turning you into Sonic the Hedgehog-fast or a Pre-cog from Minority Report (shout out to Philip K. Dick) or Cyclops from the X-Men, but...yeah.

But to be honest I like the idea of "gamer gum".

If some gamers start chewing gum instead of feeding themselves with all sorts of disgusting fast food and energy drinks (and let's be real here, we all know that there's a little truth in that stereotype), then that would be great.

5 gum = ~$ 0.018 per stick

 

Razer Respawn= ~$ 0.187 per stick

 

EDIT: Just read the article fully and its a 5 Gum partnership... good choice. id imagine the cost difference is largely in the additives and razer isnt actually making bank on this.

 

roughly 10x the cost per stick compared to my regular gum, but far from the worst price ive seen either... idk, people will buy it. If its what @PineyCreek says it is, i may even buy it or source the same product cheaper.

Caffeine and its derivatives are fine, which is all this gum has in it. whats frowned upon are harder and usually illegal substances.
