Best cooling for ITX build?

Ahhh the Shift Air... Lol I missed that. Regardless, a 120mm AIO is a better option when the only air cooler alternative is a slim cooler (with regards to cooling performance). Worth the price increase for sure in this case. I opted doing this for my SFF ITX build, my H60 easily outperforms my slim cooler (Cryorig C7).

Typically 120mm AIO's are not recommended where a tower cooler that's half the price will outperform it, but that is not an option in the Evolv Shift.

I would recommend:

EDIT: Links for NZ pricing

Hi guys, I am currently going to build a PC in the Phanteks EVOLV SHIFT air case. Unfortunately, I can only fit a 120mm rad in it. Would getting a Corsair H60/H80i and swapping the stock fans with good Noctuas  be a reasonable idea? I'm going to get a r7 3700x or a 3800xt so would this be sufficient? or does anyone have a better idea? I would also not like to switch the case.

Thanks.

H80i would be more than enough for both CPUs. the Corsair stock fans are actually quite good, well optimized for radiators and super quiet. (obviously not BeQuiet or Noctua quiet but I would challenge people to blind test the difference when using PWM)

Current Config:

Spoiler

R5 2600X @4.1ghz all core, 16GB Patriot 3200mhz, 1TB XPG SX8200 Pro nvme, RTX 2070 Duke, CM Elite 110 mitx, pair of KRK Rokit 6 monitors with 10in sub, BenQ TH671ST projector for 150" screen.

MSI Prestige 14 with too many cooling mods to list out (it's quiet now)

Even while overclocked? Also I just realised that i may only be able to use one of the fans because of graphics card height, would this have much of an issue?

120mm rads aren't worth it. See if you can snag a low profile noctua instead

Yeah I've heard about that, however I'm not too fussed on pricing on them as long as they work fine and look clean enough. Unless the Noctua has better performance I personally would rather get a a quality AIO. Which would you say has better performance?

You'd have to look at GN's graphs and what fits in your case. Typically a tower cooler will function better than an AIO, especially a 120mm AIO

Yeah I know tower coolers are good, I would be getting one if it fitted. My case only supports low profile coolers, stock cooler doesn't fit either, so no way a tower could fit. would it be better to get a low profile cooler like a Cryorig c7 or the 120mm?

Yup it does fit. Does it come in a chromax variant, and will it outperform a 120mm AIO like the H80i?

It does

I wouldn't get slim cooler over a 120mm AIO, performance will not be as good. Also, you can fit XL sized air coolers in the Evolv ITX including a 240/280mm AIO. What GPU do you have?

Overclocked, maybe. if you don't mind running north of 70C when maxed out

this review runs a i7-3930k overclocked (has a stock TDP of 130W) and it handled it just fine.
