Looks like some old Dell Dimension from the Windows XP/ Vista days. It's probably not worth hanging on unless you want to get into some older software. Pentium Ds were pretty lackluster when they came out since it as a hackjob based on their aging architecture used for the Pentium 4 Prescott. They ran hot and didn't perform all that well. It was so bad that the Core 2 series that Intel would release later on and found much success found its roots from the Pentium III.

And oh my god is that a BestTec powersupply? Yea I would immediately through that away. God knows when that thing will blow up.

So this computer has been in the closet since before I knew anything about computers. Decided to open it up today and well I have no clue what I’m looking at. By looking at the cpu I see it’s an intel pentium. I would turn it on to find out what everything else is but I don’t have the appropriate cables. Wondering if I should just toss it in the bin lol

Yeah, that PSU is a fire waiting to happen.

Old Socket 775 pre-built system with a 940 Pentium D Presler dual core and some DDR RAM.

Probrably (And I did stress that) good for a web surfing or throwback machine nowadays and that's it.
