How long will it take for the rtx 3080 to be back in stock

Affenpoop88

So, its pretty much guaranteed that the 3080 and the 3000 series in generall will sell out pretty quickly. How long do you think will it take for them to be back in stock ? Do you have to wait like 2 months before you can buy a 3000 series for a normal price again ? I never tried buying a gpu on release day before so im quite nervous that i might have to wait like a few months before i can get my hands on one again

In tech news, I've heard that we're talking 10s of thousands of cards in stock on launch, which is basically nothing.. so I expect quite a while. Probably mild to severe shortage to later this year.

For the GTX 1080 ti it took me two and a half months to get one. I was on auto notify and 3 time I got to check out and it became out of stock before it was processed.

For the RTX 2080 ti it took a month with two times getting to checkout. I did not buy the card I wanted but the card that became available first. It was a mistake.

This time to speed up the process I am using available funds in my paypal account.

I still think it will take well over a month since there are other things at play now.

Moore's Law is Dead has an interesting theory on launch day availability, if it counts for anything....

According to his source, FE card coolers are expensive to manufacture, around $150. This is why our friend in the leather jacket is looking to limit the availability of FE cards at launch in order to drive AIB sales, even though they will retail higher than MSRP, in order to maintain Nvidia's 50-60% profit margin that is normally targeted. However, in October-November, supply of all cards is set to increase dramatically. This may potentially stabilize AIB pricing a bit.

Was just about to mention that video.

seems like initial launch will be very limited of FE cards. AIB cards will be higher priced and also sell out for a while.

a higher vram model of the 3080 will probably come out in October around the announcement of rdna2.

Those who get a 3080 for $700 are lucky.

this is all rumor but I would be surprised if that isn’t how it unfolds.
