3070 with a 600W PSU?

connorfitz04

Hey!

So I have this power supply:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IE03EQO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Right now my setup (other than my current GPU is:

  • Ryzen 5 2600
  • Gigabyte B450M DS3H
  • 16 GB of ram
  • An M.2 and 2TB HDD

Would my setup be able to take on a 3070 or would I need to upgrade my PSU as well?

Thanks!

Well the wattage isn't the worrying part. It's the quality of that PSU. It's a Tier D PSU. I would get a Tier B or Tier A PSU if you want to upgrade to a 3070.

Wattage and 80+ bronze should be good for a 3070.  If that was a bronze 80 corsair I would say giddyup.  But that is not a fantastic brand, dont know if I would rely on that.

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar
