Budget (including currency): 500

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: general gaming. usually competitive multiplayer

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

i currently have a i7 3770, GTX960, 16g of ram. Ive been waiting for a upgrade that would improve FPS and be a little "future proof". but i think the card would out pace my processor by a lot

we don't even know if the card exists, let alone what the performance is. I recommend patience.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

We still don't have benchmark figures but if we're looking at performance similar to the 2080 ti your CPU would be underpowered in modern titles.

4k 60Hz in certain titles, would probably work fine. High refresh rate in newer games, I doubt the 3770 would do well.

Not just that....games today (not even tomorrows games) are having Level of Detail (Ultra/even just High) settings in large worlds that easily cripples CPU usages so you'd have to stick to something so GPU loaded and your CPU still has its own limits there,.(RTX3070+).1800p-2160p 80-100% of 4K anything less and you'd likely outright see too high a CPU usage (on the render threads driving those extra 1080p-1440p HighFrames), killing the CPU usages,..driving down GPU usages and framerates further.

(System Ram Bandwidth limits the hell out of you already just throwing a 3070 in there won't be great results VS what you see everywhere else)
You'd be better off with a new platform and a Used 10/20 Series at UsedMarket values (in say a month)
Double your frames you have now with a Highend10 or Mid-Highend20 series.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Benchmarks of the i7 3770K running with an GTX 1660Super (see lower down thread when I upgraded the system) - no issue there at that level, there are benchmarks on YouTube with the 3770(k) with even higher spec GPUs.

Intel i9-13900K - Gigabyte Aorus Z790 Elite DDR4 - Corsair Vengeance LPX 128GB DDR4 3200 C16 - Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 4090 24GB - Corsair 4000D Airflow - 2x Samsung 980 Pro 1TB  - Corsair AX1600i 80 PLUS Titanium 1600W - Aorus FI27Q - Noctua NH-D15 running 3 fans (CPU) - 6 x NF-A12x25 (3 intake, 3 exhaust) - Aorus K1 - Aorus M5 - Aorus AMP500 - Aorus H5 - Corsair TC70 - Win 11 Pro
