Low fps ingame with gtx 1660 !! Please help

tatamata

Hello guys, 3 days ago i did an upgrade on my pc, i changed some parts such like the psu and gpu, i had no problem with it and the computer started working perfectly. But now im facing some issues, i dont know why this is happening but somehow i think its cause the bottleneck, i will put down my pc specs so if you guys could give me a hand here or any advice i would be really thankful. I did update the latest driver too. Im not that type of guy who likes to put play games on high video settings, its the opposite, i was looking further to get a decent gpu and not an expensive one as well, a lot of my friends and people all around the world recommended me the gtx 1660 6gb. I like to play competitive, example i play a lot of fortnite and i am a scrim player, with my old gpu i couldnt play the game because i had a lot of crashes with it and i couldnt get through the game because of the drop fps and other issues. Now with my gtx 1660 i am quietly facing the same problems, can you just imagine it, i had a gtx 650 1gb, a total chinese firm garbage gpu and i had at least 60-100fps ingame, but now with my gtx 1660 as well im getting the same fps and this is driving me crazy, ive even decreased the resolution and lowered my videosettings, i should get around at least 120-160fps with my new gpu but all what im receiving is a 50fps fight battle. When im not fighting the fps goes to +90-100 but when im actually in a fight and there are a lot of people around i have extremly drop fps, like it goes from 110 to 40-50 immediately.... Same thing with the GTA 5, i somehow get the same fps on each video optionsetting, i mean even if i change the videosettings to ultra i still get 80-100fps same as low settings. I dont really know what to do so if you guys have something in mind go ahead and feel free, i could really use some help because this is very frustrating for me and it feels like i have still the gtx 650 inside my pc, im not seeing any big difference with it because i should, i mean you cant even compare a chinese 50$ gtx 650 1gb with ZOTAC GTX 1660 290$. Im really confused. Thanks for reading all this.

Ok. When did you upgrade the GPU? Do you still get the same FPS with the old one?

This is stupid, but do you have a frame limiter on in your settings? Also, check the settings.
