Corsair Hydro X RTX 3090 Opinions

Mark-McG

Hello everyone,

I am (like everyone else it seems) considering an upgrade to an RTX 3090 for my rig.  Currently I have a full Corsair Hydro X water cooling setup, which I like because of the RGB controls etc.

My question, or rather request for opinions is, Do you think Corsair are more likely to make their first blocks for founders edition (non reference) or the reference design?

My plan was just to buy a founders edition and run it on air cooling until a Corsair waterblock was released, feeling comfortable that it would be the reference design and all would be well but I am now unsure after hearing the Nvidia card is non ref.

Appreciate nobody knows but keen to hear opinions, I could go for an AIB card that is thought of as being reference.

Thanks, Mark

I don't really see blocks being made for founders cards part from maybe from EK as the founders cards seem to have entirely different pcbs compared to none founder cards.

they will make the non founder and founder editions water blocks first. same was with the 5700XT. when the reference cards arrived corsair made the blocks for them first, since the partner cards came later.

but still we are unsure

  • 2 weeks later...

Reference, Founders, Strix, and maybe FTW3 will be the most popular blocks going by the 20-series cards.
