PSU Upgrade for 3070

Code.016

I'm upgrading from my 5 year old seasonic m12ii 520 bronze to coolermaster MWE GOLD 650w. Is this a good upgrade? i was about to buy a 2070 super, but the PSU requirements is above 600w. And now that 3000 series was already announced, I'm thinking on going with 3000 series and upgrading my PSU to MWE Gold 650 due to its price. did i made a right choice? I'm expecting to receive the PSU tomorrow.

Thanks for your inputs!

You''ll be fine. The 650W power requirement is with 10900k.

There is alot more to a PSU than the wattage.

MWE Gold 650

This is a good PSU, not a bad decision

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

This is not the greatest PSU but it is far from what I would consider bad.

Oh yeah sure but that PSU is tier B in here

So I'm assuming it should be fine. Gold rated too.

wattage consumption always over estimates, but the MWE gold is a good psu and is a lot better than the m12ii, wattage wise it should be more than enough for a 1600 and a 3070.

wattage and efficiency have nothing to do with quality.

Yes, Sir but wattage is not the only factor that must be taken into consideration when taking a psu. And I am pretty sure 650w is adequate enough.
