ARCTIC COOLING Liquid Freezer II - 280 Question

Hey everyone, doing some googling online and I can't seem to find a concrete answer if the 280mm model that I have linked below will fit the Fractal Meshify S2

The website for Fractal says it supports up to 420mm but I see a lot of posts online that the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 2 is actually a bit bigger and wider than normal.

Does anyone have experience with these 2 items, or recommend a different case instead? I plan to buy them both at once.

Thanks,

Here is my build for reference.

What are you asking? None of the 280 aio:s have rads that are 280x140. X63 is 315 x 143 x 30mm, h115i 322 x 137 x 27 mm and that arctic one 317 mm x 138 mm x 38 mm.

Arctic aio:s have thicker rads and thats pretty much why they also perform better.

I would pick a 360 for roof placement as then youll have a bit more room with motherboard components and tall ram.

110% these will work together no issues. The smaller Meshify C could even support that 280mm AIO and the S2 is the big brother so you won't have any problems here.

Sorry for the confusion first time doing this.
I had just read online people ran into issues with the thicker rad and couldn't find any posts with this exact setup

Those support lists can be a bit flawed sometimes. If you plan on putting the rad on roof spot, id pick a 240 or 360.

Some cases like Phanteks p500a that have more room over the motherboard should fit 280 rads on roof too with only a tiny chance of trouble.

The rad thickness just means more density for cooling, the S2 is more than big enough to accommodate this even if you have a triple slot 3 fan GPU (front mount) and the only way it would interfere is if it was top mounted and it interfered with tall memory, although in this scenario I would guess unlikely as the S2 is taller than the Mehsify C. And the extra height of the rad is really just where the tubing connects to the rad, but again there is more than enough room in the case to accommodate this.

Good choice on hardware! The Meshify series is my favorite case (long time Meshify C owner), and the Arctic Liquid Freezer II is one of the best AIO's on the market.

I don't have a definitive answer, but it looks like it would fit if you move the radiator forward to clear the motherboard I/O board shroud. It doesn't look like you be able to to do a push and pull setup because the ram are not the lowest profile not that this setup would be needed. I find it easier to work with 240 and 360 setup incase I ever change cases.

Let us know how it works out.

I Purchased the 280 and the Meshify S2 time to find out if it will interfere with anything on a top mount setup

I'll let you know.

Thanks for all the advice.

Hey just updating as requested, was able to make it fit on a top mount, very very close to touching the top of the ram, but I do have G-SKILL ram which is kinda bulky. Not sure if the tube positioning is perfect but the tubing was very tight, didn't have much wiggle room to move it around. Attached a picture in-case anyone is curious or looking for at a similar setup.

Nice to see that it actually fit. You can lower the front intake fans so the upper fan is not pushing air at the side of radiator and fans.

Is your video card shroud cracked? The area after the E at the "GEFORCE" has some split. Lots of sagging going on there.
