are the arctic p12's silent fans?

bluehillday

i'm looking to mount 2 arctic p12 120mm as intake and one in the top side of the case , my mobo is cooler master mb511. i have a bequiet silent wings 3 as exhaust and it's really silent even at 1000rpm but those are expensive. wonder if the p12's are noticeble up top 800-1000rpm

The p12's are even more silent. Basically a tiny bit less than noctua level performance/quiet.

From seeing a review of them, they are really quiet. As long as they are not running at 1000rpm though.

I have 10 running in my system on my radiators, the sound they produce at max is pleasant compared to other fans (I run them at max) - I highly recommend these fans as an affordable, performing option.

The pwm pst and the regular p12's don't have that noise oddly enough. I don't know why but it is like that.

Both the normal non pwm p12's and the pwm pst p12's do not experience that issue.

The P12 PST for my setup seem fairly quiet. I don't really hear anything until my ears are 2 feet away from the case while under light CPU loads. I usually keep my fan RMP from 500-900 and up to 1300 RPM on stressful loads. I do hear some kind of sound somewhere above 1200 RPM at times when the fan revs up and down when the CPU gets really hot. I corrected things by adjusting the higher temperature range and RPM from bios. I don't see it as a flaw in the design.

They are quiet but not really silent.

If you have shitty hearing and claim everything is 'inaudible' maybe. I've heard people say their H100i / H150i is inaudible under full load with a 10700K.

Keep them below 1200 RPM at max load and you'll be good.
