Yes, defiantly..

With the high power draw cards avoid using the Daisy chained connections.

So that would mean use separate cables.

I'm looking to upgrade to the 3080 or 3090 when ASUS comes out with their Strix card. I've seen from previews that it will have 3 8-pin power connectors. My question is, will I be able to use my power supplies 8-pin to 8-pin + 6+2-Pin as well as a regular 8-pin for the third connection, or will I need to use 3 8-pins?

you didn't get the question

you could use a daisy chained connector but if you got it 3 solo 8 pins is best.

Your PSU has the proper cables for the power connection.

Use 3 cables however....

Yes, defiantly..

With the high power draw cards avoid using the Daisy chained connections.

So that would mean use separate cables.

Okay, thanks.

I have a 1080 and used the Daisy Chained cable to save on using another cable. Haven't had a problem with it, but I'll go the recommended route and use 3 cables.

The 1080 isn't too bad... Depending on the card.... I still use 2 separate cables with mine however (FTW2).
