Building my first PC. Is it compatible?

So I'm wondering if this is all compatible? Does the motherboard support the 3600mhz ram? Is it enough power? Planning on adding another Nvme ssd for extra storage later on, is that possible for that motherboard? Does the case support a top mounted radiator for the cooler I'm choosing? Does the cpu support 3600mhz ram?

Any tips or suggestions?

It's compatible. The 970 is expensive, you'll get similar performance from something like an SX8200 Pro.

As for the questions about compatibility, if you go to the Asus website and check the manual you'll find your answers. They also have a RAM QVL list that will tell you if the RAM has been checked to work with the motherboard.

Yes, it's all compatible.

If you aren't already, use pcpartpicker.com, it's wonderful, checks basic compatibility automatically (although you should still always perform a final check for yourself), and finds the lowest prices.

Keep in mind that by the time you can get a 3080, Ryzen 4000 CPUs will be even closer. (they're probably releasing sometime before the holidays, nobody knows for sure)
