it does explain why that heatsink performs so poortly though, aside from the obvious single heatpipe, the heatpipe it does have isn't even soldered to the heatsink or anything, it was in fact attatched with extremely cheap thermal paste


Edit: it also answered something else i had been wondering about, as to what consistency the sintered copper in a heatpipe had

I'm getting around 400k PPD off of one of those fossil's......better than most rigs working CPU WU's can pull off. Just saying.

Better than my GT640 which only hands out 33K points a day Then again can't expect much for a card that only cost $100 Canadian pesos when it was brand new. It gave me 30FPS gaming on the cheap back then.

Should be fine, it was a AMD card they do love to run hot unlike Nvidias, esp back then. I had a 270 before I pawned off that space heater with my old i5 Gen 3 to family lol.

Hoo boy.  Went for the moonshot and had...lotsa leaks.  The main one is coming from the GPU blocks; I suspect it's from the short run between the two cards -- I don't have a special fitting for it and it's really short.  Might just reroute it to take the long way around, cuz I can't find any fittings specially made for that bit.

Well it was only in the summer used to live in FL in the winter. Kind of a snow bird but not the retired type.
