[VPN] Stick with PIA or not?

Hi y'all,

My subscription to PIA is about to expire and I am wondering whether I should extend it or not. My main uses are (i) unlocking geoblocked content (e.g. Netflix, BBC, some commercial broadcasters from my home country when I'm working abroad, ...) and (ii) privacy. I am not really up to date with VPNs to be honest and on YouTube most of the videos on VPNs sound more like adds than honest reviews. Does anyone have any recommendations? My experience with PIA is overall good, but Netflix does detect I'm using a VPN fairly often. A client for on my Android phone is also a must.

Thanks in advance!

I read a lot of good things about them. If I remember there used to be a lot news about Nord VPN as well, but there there was a leak wasn't there?

Yeah, Nord VPN is no longer a good option in my opinion because it clearly does not take very good care of your data

Nord is better if you’re concerned about government entities getting data, compared to PIA.
Yes, they were victim to being hacked, but I would argue there is a risk of that with any web based service out there.

Asking an opinion about a VPN is like asking an opinion about a car, you'll never get a truly objective answer. I myself think that NordVPN is not too bad, it has good speed, it unblocks all the popular streaming services and they do 3rd party audits now, to ensure security. Overall I have a pleasant experience using it. PIA is also OK, but I feel that it's not as polished, as Nord.
