Where should I put my 5th case fan lancool 2

BlazerBuddy

I have the lian li Lancool 2 and have a 5th fan that I don't know where to put, my current fan orientation is 2 front 1 top 1 back. Should I change it to 2 front 2 top and 1 back or 3 front 1 top 1 back??

What size are your fans, and specifically the 5th fan? You can only do three up front if they're 120mm. If they're 140mm, you only get two. I would avoid the top front, as you're just working against yourself with that. A front top exhaust is going to just immediately eject the fresh intake from the front, and a front top intake is going to create vortexes that will also prevent the fresh intake from reaching your components.

If you can, I'd use the extra fan to do 3 front intake. Otherwise, just leave it out. Just because you have 5 fans doesn't mean you must or even should use all 5 fans. More fans doesn't equal more better.

I have all 120mm fans, I will just put the 5th fan in the front like you said. Half of the fan will be going straight to my gpu, and the other half right under my power supply shroud.
