Nah, you chose the Stealth because you still had a Razer Blade boner even though the Dell XPS was the best choice.

 

And the fact that the Dell XPS 13 ended up being the daily driver as shown not even 30 seconds into the video is the most perfect sequel to that horrendously subverted original video. :)

*rant about barrel plugs in 2020, micro SD readers, and generally IO ports*

 

Why do manufacturers STILL put the proprietary barrel chargers onto their 2020 laptops? Sometimes (like in this case) they even include a USB-C port that already supports charging! Is a USB-C port and charging accessories so much more expensive compared to a barrel plug? I just don't understand who makes these decisions at big companies like LG.

 

Also, why do some Windows machines still only have a single USB-C port? This is making the transition to USB-C impossibly slow. I am blaming the barrel ports here for the wasted space.

 

Also is the Micro SD slot useful for anything else but Android phones and the Nintendo Switch? Last time I checked almost every single camera apart from the GoPro still uses regular SD cards, which is much easier to adapt to Micro SD than the other way around.

At least they've put a full size HDMI in there...

Well because the use often the same Plug in there entire (Business) Line! Like Lenovo and Dell does.

Some even power there Display with the same Plug Packs as Notebooks! That saved my Life when I was in Japan and my Thinkpad Power Supply failed. The Hotel had an some Laptops for Rent there who was Thinkpads. Thankfully the Borrow me the Power Supply and I could buy over there a replacement one! I Still use the old replacement with a Adapter from the Barrel to the Square one.

USB-C is nice but I like a dedicated one more the looking much more robust and the are often seperated from the Mainboard so when you broke it you can replace them.

So that you can use the USB C for something that won't charge it at the same time (connecting to only a data source).

But with USB C you can connect it to a data source and charge at the same time. That's why it's so nice.

Yes, but lets say you need to connect to a data only source (lets say flash drive or something) and charge at that same time. It's just nice to have the ability to separate that. What would be even better.... two USB C/Thunderbolt for even more flexibility.

I still don't follow. I have an adapter that connects to my USB C port and I charge my laptop, plug in ethernet, and have an external hard drive all on one port. I don't need another port and I'm no where near saturating the data speed of USB C with my ethernet or hard drive

If you want to use the USB C for only a data source and not use a dongle, guess I forgot to mention that. You don't always have a dongle with you, when you need it. It's a limited use case situation, but it never hurts to have the option.

Well, I wonder if LG selling 17 inch gram, but instead of Intel CPU, it uses AMD Ryzen 4700U instead? If it does, I'm considering buying one.
