Cool.

Mine I bench CL 14 4000mhz or 4000mhz CL16.

With some tweaking 4267mhz CL16, but generous voltage increase.

Nice list. :)

I consider anything slower than JEDEC spec (DDR4-2133MHz/CL15, 2400/17, 2666/19, 3200/22) to be slow, and anything that requires a voltage increase (stock is 1.2V for DDR4, most 3200/16 kits I've seen specify 1.35V) to be moderately fast.  If it requires a voltage increase beyond the maximum recommended for Intel or AMD, I'd say its "blazing".

Spoiler

Note:The Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-5000 CL18 Memory operating voltage of 1.5 V exceeds the Intel Comet Lake CPU recommended maximum of 1.35 V+5% (1.417 V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.35 V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

Note:The Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-5000 CL18 Memory operating voltage of 1.5 V exceeds the AMD Zen 2 CPU recommended maximum of 1.35 V+7% (1.444 V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.35 V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the AMD recommended maximum.

If it runs at 1.2V and is equal to or faster than JEDEC, I'd call it average / okay / fair / reasonable / adequate / other similar terms.

For me, I'd rather have more RAM that's slower, over less RAM that's faster.  Given the choice between, for example, 64GB DDR4-2133 CL15 or 32GB DDR4-4000 CL18, I'd take the 64GB 2133.  I'd think even 32GB of DDR4-5000 would be worse than 64GB DDR-2133 for...

So if your BIOS doesn't have ANY settings for tuning memory, not even XMP,

Spoiler

Like my laptop, for example - has an i7-6700K and Z170 chipset on the Clevo motherboard...

Then what benefit would there be of getting anything faster than 2133? (Except if the faster stuff is cheaper.)

Pretty sure the JEDEC standard allows up to the 1.5v for an XMP kit, and I’ve heard people dailying 1.9v.

Well my sticks are...

DDR4-3066MHz / CL14 (9.1ns) = Above Average

DDR4-2666MHz / CL13 (9.7ns) = Average+

Then again should we also calculate sub-timings?

That would make 14+17+17=48 devided by 3 = 16

Also that means 13+15+15=43  devided by 3 = 14.3

Pretty sure the JEDEC standard allows up to the 1.5v for an XMP kit, and I’ve heard people dailying 1.9v.

Ah, I was referring to the CPU manufacturers' recommendations for voltage with their memory controllers.  And as for JEDEC, I was referring to the speeds that their standard specifies, or the speeds that non-Z Intel motherboards support (or AMD) "out-of-the-box" / after clearing CMOS / resetting BIOS, without XMP enabled.  Maybe there's a different term I should be using?

I'm actually the one who misunderstood the statement here, I thought you were saying that you cannot go over 1.41v for Intel and 1.44v for AMD. My apologies :).

He says cpu manufacturer, but I remember Intel stated up to 1.50v.

Which gen chip, I dont remember.

But the information is useless without something backing it.

Unfortunately, memory controller voltage and ram voltage differ.

I've never heard of a cpu dying from increasing memory voltage.....

I don't think it's a problem until you go about 2.0V+ on DRAM causing VTTDDR to exceed 1.0V.

(Speaking strictly B-Die...)

2.0v would be chilling or extreme voltages. I'd say for the memory modules, 1.60-1.650v would be ok as long as the stay cool. Under 50c, the cooler the better.

Been up there myself, they get too hot for ambient 1.90v is about the limit there.

Me, I stay 1.60v or less. Have no issues.

Vccio and Vccia are both at 1.20v. VTTDDR 0.8v (if I remember this correctly.) lol.

Fast though. Typically at 4000mhz CL 16-16-16, I can do 1.410v or all 14's at 1.60v

The sticks are rated CL19-19-19 4267mhz. I find them very pleasing to tweak.

I like to play around 1.6V too.  Occasionally dip my toe into 1.7V for something like 4600MHz 16-16-16-16 tRFC 250.

My memory controller is only good for 4300mhz. Anything past that is a wash.

If Intel had a way to de-couple whatever it is they would then I'd imagine Intel CPUs could hit much faster RAM speeds.  And it only adds about 4 ~ 7ns of latency in Aida.  At least on my Ryzen at 4600C16.  That would still be very low latency numbers on an Intel CPU.

Well I've tried quite a few memory dividers.

Pretty sure the IMC is topped out. It'll go faster, just not stable.

So I keep in the realm of what's usable and bench video cards.

Just wish I had better clocking GTX 770. This thing sucks. EVGA. It's a no point maker. :(

This thread sent me down a rabbit hole chasing 70000 Copy in Aida.  The closest I got was 69993 MB.  Damn it.

Lol, I do that all the time. But with different benchmarks and numbers :P

That's pretty fast though. I like it. Fast meign!
