I mean it really depends on the task at hand, there is no single best os, cause if there was, everyone would be using it.

I hate Windows as much as any die-hard *nix user, but I am not blind to the gaping flaws in *nix (systemD comes readily to mind) so no, it's not just facts, and anyway, IIRC, flamebait posts are a no-no here in LTT land

There IS but most people dont use it because they are too lazy to change

Isn't windows better at playing games though?

 

Active directory works well at managing desktops(better than the linux eqvs), and there is a lot more products support it as well.

 

WIndows is a lot better at running MS office than linux, and a lot for people.

 

Lots of windows only apps out there too.

 

Its not that people don't want to change, its that there are lots of use cases where windows is better

there are alternatives to soystemd (runit and openrc) , and yeah there are other minor problems but it isnt bad as windows 10

you dont need to learn it???  distros like ubuntu and mint are really easy to use (probably easier than windows)

Its different though. Most people are used to how windows works, so there is a learning curve.

you know it, everyone knows it. linux has far more command line moments then windows and a far steeper learning curve. remember, there is a REASON why windows STILL controls a massive share in the OS industry. there is a learning curve whether YOU wish to admit it or not.

Not fully compatable, thats the problem. It can't do all the same things.

 

There is a reason why a lot of companies and people run windows, it works better for them. There is no best os out there. Windows is better at a lot of tasks.
