Is there a legitimate replacement for Windows Photos?

I find it incredibly annoying that Windows Photos take about 5-7 seconds to load up any time I want to open an image file. (I might be exaggerating a bit on times when it comes to my main PC, but that's certainly not the case on my under powered laptop)

I'm just wondering if there is a good lightweight replacement for a photoviewer out there that anyone would recommend?

on a personal quest convincing the general public to return to the glory that is 12" laptops.

cheap and easy cable management is my fetish.

Windows photo viewers is far superior.
