Ddr4 16Gb 1X16gb

syfer
Hi my friend asked me for help in picking memory but I have no idea which is the best one for him. His system is AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX Motherboard.
Can some tell me what the best memory to buy at 1X16gb?

Does he have another stick of 1x16GB already?

If not, get 2x8GB at 3200Mhz CL16 or better. Just choose those specs (or 3600Mhz CL16/CL18) and get the cheapest from a reputable brand (although I personally prefer G.Skill for AMD systems).

Why not 2x8GB RAM? As for gaming there is a significant difference if RAM is single or dual-channel.

Agree with previous responses. 2x8 is better. The mobo has 4 ram slots so this doesn't limit future expansion should it be needed.
