Sell my pc and start over?

Country: Czech Republic

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CS:GO @144fps+, GTA 5, Doom Eternal, R6, Cyberpunk 2077: Siege, light video editing, streaming.

I currently have a system that I'd like to upgrade in time for Cyberbunk 2077. System specs are as follows: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/BrightLuigi/saved/bQzY99

Case: https://www.czc.cz/evolveo-t3/204617/produkt

Storage: Intel SSD Pro 1500 Series 180GB

My question is, do I upgrade the gpu or should I just sell the system (I don't know how much it would sell for) and build an entirely new system? I have 5000CZK(~220$) extra for upgrades.

The whole system is outdated TBH

Let's agree to disagree

I see, it is still a pretty decent gaming pc, runs most stuff well. Apart from some AAA games. Any idea how much it would sell for?

To start with the Processor is (sorry to say it that way) a waste of mone 😧 You can get a very decent Ryzen with 6 Cores for around 250$ at max.
DDR4 I would HIGHLY suggest as it is most definetly a big jump from DDR 3. Graphics card should also be upgraded imo.
The thing you can maybe keep is the Powersupply lol....:
In addition to that I can tell you that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a hard game to run 😧 (Graphicscard wise)

Therefore I would personally suggest to sell the whole thing for maybe 400$? AT max and start over. HOWEVER It would be a big investment. You could just try upgrading the card if you feel comfortable with that.

Or maybe another solution could be that I would buy a new gpu, I'm thinking a 1660 Super and sell my old gpu and keep saving up until I have enough money for a new system from which I would keep the 1660 and powersupply?

not at all. No way anything else in your system will handle that.

I would personally just start over. If your budget allows that.

Have you got a rough budget if you were to build a brand new one?

A rough estimate would probably be the 220$ + whatever I can sell my pc for which would be about 260$(very rough estimate).

Ok, this is a good list for a little more than that. I put the list in pounds because US prices are super messed up at the moment. I understand if you cant get that extra 50 or so, so if you cant probably the best thing would be to would be to buy an apu like the r5 3400g and then when you have enough money you can buy a dedicated graphics card.

If you would prefer to just buy a system with a dgpu sooner then there is a second one below.

Wow! I'll definetly be using this as a point of refrence. Thanks so much, this is a real help!

$250 is very generous for an FX 8350 and R9 280x today, consindering a $400 new PC beats the breaks off it. Think more like $125 for that.

Why do you want to build it now? Cyberpunk is out November 19. By then, new CPUs and GPUs will be out, and the used market will be flooded with cheap current-gen parts, and hopefully you'll have saved more than $220 between now and thanksgiving.

Seeing as there aren't any jobs right now I highly doubt that I'll get more money. I understand that 250$ is very generous, but there is a local second hand market like ebay that sells similar machines for 400$ and people are buying them, since I am not in the US.

A 1070 is max I would go with this system, but that may not be good enough for all games.
