Posted August 5, 2020 I got my old PC a kit of HyperX Fury RAM 16GB (2x8GB), was wondering if it was worth mixing it with some old 2GB sticks I had laying about, I know the speed will be lower but would it be worth it. My use case is light video editing and mainly PC gaming. Posted August 5, 2020 no, gaming cares about speed a lot especially on older platforms with low memory bandwidth compared to those with DDR4 in the first place. Posted August 5, 2020 16 gig 1866. speed matters more then capacity in this case, and 16 gigs is more then enough for gaming.
