Graphics card bad , should i sell , fix , other ?

I have a MSI Gaming X 8GB gtx 1070 which i got used from a guy who got it used from an other guy on 2016 , i got it from him on 2017 i think .

At the time it has no issues but 1 year ago many games would crash and they still do like :

  • warzone
  • cs:go
  • rust
  • apex legends

and they crash on low graphics btw . In some instances i see wierd RGB pixels while the game is frozen and then it crashes ( sound is audible for 10 seconds )

I did an MSI stress test and it had thousands of artifacts , i then went to afterburner lowered clock speeds and base core and did the stress test again , almost 0 artifacts but still crashes to games.

Is it even sellable ? I dont think i wanna scam any1 so i was thinking maybe 100$ ?

Is it fixable idk rly... i just wanna make some value off i cuz it can play League of Legends at full graphics and some other games so i really dont get wahts going on.

I have been using a TXM CORSAIR 550 w PSU maybe the low power f-ed my GPU cuz most people ue 650 W for GTX 1070

As long as you explain the issues that the card is having, you won't be ripping anyone off. There are plenty of people that buy dead or dieing cards to try to resurrect them.

Indeed, or just use spare parts from it.

As long as you're up front about it.

I don't think it's sellable, for sure. A 1070 isn't really worth $100 brand new, let alone used and potentially on its last legs.

If all else fails try to find someone to reball it with a heat gun. I wouldn’t sell it after that but if you can get some life out of it maybe worth looking into. (If ur really risky through it in a oven) I’ve heard that works with degrees of success. But it’s not usually a forever solution. If I where you just sell it on eBay as for parts or broken

Unless I’m mistaken a 1070 used on eBay goes for like 180-200$ in good condition what are you talking about. I think he could sell it for 75$ for parts/broken

You'd have to be missing part of your brain to pay that much for the card. It doesn't really matter what some reject on eBay is *trying* to sell it for, or even if they might be able to find someone stupid enough to pay that price, it's not worth $100 brand new.
