Hey guys I just dropped my precious pc and now it wont boot into windows it goes through the bios but when im booting it has errors. Please help me!

How the hell do you drop a PC?

 

 

Is everything still plugged in? Check SATA cables for your drives.

I mean, there are a million things that could've gone wrong once you dropped it.

Are you using an SSD or mechanical hard drive?

I was transporting it to my friends house. And yes everything is plugged in.

Reseat everything.

How hard? From what height? How heavy is the PC?

 

These variables can help say if something just got knocked loose or worst case possibly cracked the motherboard destroying connections.

Does it have a heavy GPU? Is your OS on a hard drive, or SSD? And what errors is it getting when booting?

you probably dislodged the reading head on the mechanical drive. Its shot and dead now. Time to replace it.

Well i just put a spare hdd in and it boots. Is there any other things i should check for damage before using this pc for gaming?

Just run a few stress tests to ensure no other damage.

EEEEH, shit happens. Just run like Unigine heaven for GPU, and like OCCT or Aida64 for the CPU/Memory Run them for like 30m each and if no crashes or issues, then I would say you lucked out with only losing a hard drive.

I am still sad tho idk if i damaged the motherboard or something. I have anxeity disorder and am a perfectionist so I will never think if this pc the same. Whatever just got to tell myself its just how it was beforeit fell.
