I need of Laptop for my dad

Budget (including currency): 300 - 500 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Just high-speed browsing with no issues

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I need a laptop, no games will be played on it. I need a good running laptop that can perform well and multitask. He is still choosing between Apple or Microsoft (I prefer Microsoft but Laptops are different from PCs and I don't have much knowledge on Laptops.)

The laptop can be lightly used.

Chromebook. If for some reason ChromeOS doesn't suffice for web browsing (which is literally what it was designed for lol), used Thinkpad.
