AM4 CPU Holder/Case (3D Printed?)

HungryEzhik

First post here. Sorry if this has been asked before.

I was just watching one of Linus' latest stream (building a $500 gaming PC). In the video, he takes the Ryzen 3100 out of a plastic blue clamshell-type holder with an opening around the heat spreader on top. It looks like it may have been 3D printed.

I've been looking for something just like this to work on delided AM4 CPUs (and provide a ridged base for clamping the CPU when gluing the heat spreader back down). Any idea where I can get one or other suggestions. Thanks!

Pretty trivial to CAD up something like this yourself. This is what mine looks like, made to be stackable:

Hey Colin, I've been looking for the files but https://www.prusaprinters.org/social/80403-linus-tech-tips/ seems to not have anything on it :(

It would really be great if you could get this up finally :)

Apparently the Deskpad Tester was more important judging form PrusaPrinters though.. :/

Are they still thinking about releasing these in some way, because I would definitely love to get my hands on a few, or at least the plans for it. I'd pay for it!

The person who was leading the project no longer works for LMG. Sooooo they're in limbo. I cant guarantee any sort of release date.

For those thinking about DM'ing me about it, dont.

In that case, locking the thread would be the most sensible thing to do to avoid more people asking for this.
