I built my own PC case, what do you all think?

I ordered some steel to be laser cut, some aluminum to be soldered together. Bought some joints and aluminum pipes to make frame. £350 total to build the case!

The more fans the more better, and the more Noctua fans the more even more better.

 

Cleaning the rads though is going to be a nightmare, I'd imagine.

Correct, 10980XE. It will have it's own 3x 480mm and 1x 240mm rad with 3000 RPM fans everywhere, Commander Pro controlled.

All of those fans can draw up to 15 watts of power, how are you managing all of that along with pump power ?

Edit: i saw that you said 3000 rpm which is even more power, with the 24 fans you have about 100 watts

Why get that cpu? It's as good as a 3950x but a good bit more expensive?

It's better when it's overclocked and that's the goal. Hopefully 5.0Ghz on all 18 cores due to better silicon and beyond mature 14nm process, should be achievable at 1.25V or so.

i am asking because you definitely dont have 24 fan headers, so i am guessing you will be splitting sata power and letting all the fans run at max?

Ooooooooo damn that looks nice! Only cases I've seen for sale that fit that many rads are far larger, that looks really compact for how many rads it fits

Yes! My thoughts exactly. It's no bigger than Thermaltake Core X9 but I removed all the spaces that people don't use like HDD cages and so on.

Noice. They do that for SFF cases all the time, it's weird that nobody has thought to do it for super high end ATX/EATX and larger stuff, given that balls to the wall rigs will usually run off all NVMe drives with no HDDs in sight. Usually the only concern is rad space since the CPUs for these platforms are toasty toasty, so dropping all non-essentials to keep size still manageable is a true chad brain move. 350 quid is about the price of the big ole cases too, maybe a bit cheaper .

Yeah exactly. I designed it too, so I could pick if I want SSD mounts in places etc. Looks pretty good and works nicely.

It's overkill for overkill's sake it looks like.  Sorta like this...  epeen only, no use-case or CPU needs 3x 480mm rads.

W-3175X begs to differ. Even the smol 10980XE can belt out heat, and a shitload of rads mean you can take that heat while keeping fan noise low, meaning the best of both worlds. Stupid amount of thermal headroom + not being loud = stonks. Also pretty sure OP is gonna throw GPUs in that loop too, adding yet more heat.
