Considering IPA is just that and circuit repairs are usually followed by cleaning with it after soldering on them with flux. It should be fine, however, alcohol has a tendency of removing glue (like the ones used for gluing digitizer to your phone screen, or your phone frame to its chassis) Be aware of how much you use and where you use it.

Yup, no problem.

It tends to leave traces on displays, so you might want to use some screen cleaner after it to remove them.

It's a little less about the purity of the IPA itself, and more about the impurities that it picks up while wet, and rapidly left behind as it evaporates and dries.

Using it on the surface should be perfectly fine, again as @Levent has said, so long as you're not being excessive.

Just asking why disinfect the pc/monitor those are always at home unless you got it second hand or have had them in storage a long time, I understand the phone and tablet (something I forgot is that unless you touch everything you see then touch the monitor and pc then it would need disinfect)

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

Thats why I now use only the microfiber cloth without anything on it for the monitor just to get rid of the dust.

Also take care with some printed stuffs, the 95% alcohol dissolves some types and leaves you with a sticky mess smearing.

Alcohol like that on phone screen can damage the oleophobic coating on the phone screen if you so it regularly enough. That means less smooth finger swipes, and more fingerprints or oils on the screen.

At least from what I have been told.

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.
It matters that you don't just give up.”

I think if you are that concerned and doesn't want to take the risk you can put your phone in a zip lock or use those waterproof phone bag while outside ?? Just that you probably won't be able to use fingerprint scanner or iris scanner.

I usually just use 70-75% alcohol, sprayed onto a microfiber cloth then wipes the phone using it, dries slower than a 95% or 99% though since it contains water. My friend uses those UV light dome, like the one you get from Whitestone dome, idk if its safe for the phone in the long run or not though.
