What M.2 storage should i buy?

My motherboard is "ASRock Fatal1ty B450 GAMING K4 - AMD B450" what M.2 storage should i buy, under 80 bucks? And my OS would be on it.

256 gb is definitely enough to run Windows off of. A Windows 10 installation should be less than 50GB usually.

Mine with one 50gb game installed. So basically i have 80gb free space if no games installed.

If you can manage the files especially your users folder, offload the files to different hdd, and not installing any games, 256gb is more than enough.

You can, but it is not as simple as dragging and dropping some files around.

 

You have to use software to "clone" your old SSD and partitions to the new SSD. If the old and new SSD are not exactly the same size, the partitions also have to be resized (although most cloning software can do that for you). Windows install creates a number of partitions, like recovery partitions, etc. that need to be cloned as well.

 

I would honestly just do a fresh install. It is easier than dealing with the hassle of cloning.
