yeah those systems will pair with gpu's like rx 470 or older than 980. not 10 series or 16 series.

They'll pair just fine with a 1050Ti, or 1650.

what money for 1650. there is no money for such a card. ah yes, spend 140+ on a card plus shipping. a 3rd gen anything would pair best with older gen stuff such as rx 4xx or older than 9xx from nvidia. most of that money is much, much better spend on an ssd, a solid psu or some more ram if less than 8 gb

You can get 4th gen Intel CPUs. If he stretched the budget just a touch, he could easily get 6th gen. You're also ignoring the main reason to get a 1050Ti; it doesn't use power except for what it receives off the PCIe slot. Even then, the 1050Ti is a great pairing for a 4th gen CPU. You seem to be hooked up on the 1650, when other cards were mentioned.

sure 1050 ti would be fine if he had more budget or you find a really lucky deal but your focus is if his budget was bigger which may not be possible. also you only mentioned 2 cards. switch cards to card. also many systems are missing many features or insufficient.

You can easily buy a 4th gen i5, or i3 and pair it with a 1050Ti for $200.

For $250 you can do the same with a 1650, or a 6th gen and 1050Ti.

Don't try and twist what I say to fit the narrative you want.

i am finding systems with no cpu, no ram, or no drive for 72$ not including shipping or taxes. some are cheaper but have dangerous compromises that could affect gaming performance such as less than 8 gigs of ram. And yes, i know. there are systems with no hard drives but somewhat complete for less than 30 but hey have tons of shipping and or are in USD if OP was Canadian.

buddy these are all nearly 100$ USD not including shipping. your 1050 ti would still probably bottleneck. many of these systems will probably go better with a ssd slapped in and a lesser gpu. a 980 ti, rx 5xx, rx 4xx are still pretty good cards with the 980 ti still holding a bit of its power from those years ago. also your one with a card doesnt say anything just, "Dedicated card" who knows? maybe it is a 9800 gt? and if you put in a decent gpu in these systems you may want to invest in a beefier psu.

Yeah, Intel might not make huge jumps gen to gen but their older chips destroy older AMD stuff.

The one that's $99 has free shipping. I've found ones that are $68 and $20 shipping, but I'm not about to waste my time finding them again. The three I listed are enough. Also, you can watch auctions and get them far cheaper with a little patience. You can easily buy a 1050Ti with the remaining money, if not less; more than enough to also buy a 120GB SSD. Every system has a bottleneck somewhere; at $200 you can't expect a perfect system. You realize a 1050Ti is lesser than all of the cards you listed, right? How do you expect to buy a 980Ti when the complete budget is $200? You can't. You'd also have to upgrade the PSU. Where are you going to get that money from in the budget? Oh, right. You can't. Yes, the one with the card could be a horrible card. Does it matter? No, because you'd be selling it to get something else, or perhaps trading it for a cheap SSD. It's still well within the budget. The 1050Ti is more than enough for someone with a $200 budget. You just clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

lmao i dont ever remember only saying 980. also, what if op is in canada? then the true cost wouldn't be 99$ but rather 135$ at the time of posting. 65$ cad for a 1050 ti might be a little TOO much to ask for. i dont really think you know budget. or the patience to read a full post.

and lmao found a system that claims to have an i5 and a 1050 ti. now that seems like a much better match.

No, you also listed other cards that are also more expensive than the 1050Ti and require paying for a new PSU.

Most users are in the US. Chances are pretty slim he's in Canada. Now you're just grasping at straws to make what you said relevant.

As for the listing you linked, you can't simply find an unfinished auction and say that's what it costs. It's already at $96. It's also twice the shipping of most of the other systems at $40. It'll go beyond what the OP can afford.

I don't think you understand budget, how to build in a system like an older office unit, how well they perform, or what a bottleneck actually is.
