Carabiners make great key rings. They’re as secure as a snap ring but they’re not nearly as annoying or even painful as snap rings.  I lost my keys and started carrying a bunch of keys on those tiny locking S ‘Beeners you can get at REI. It works quite well.  The locks are really important though.  I had some without locks and it caused problems.

I'm surprised how many people here carry around knives or guns daily.

All i carry on my person is keys, wallet and phone.

For emergencies have a first aid kit, a tool kit and a multipurpuse butterfly in my car, but that's about it.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I like the phrase “multi purpose butterfly”.  It can pollinate flowers AND open beer bottles.

Pocket knives are a great daily tool, I use mine easily a dozen times or more a day, cutting, prying, other things. Pocket knives are not meant for personal defense, a fixed blade yes, but a normal pocketknife is just a tool.

As for my carry pistol, I had a legitimate reason, i still carry on the occasion if I feel the need to but regardless as @sub68 mentioned its mostly a US thing because well why not? it's a 2nd amendment right to do so for absolutely no reason, most non-US citizens won't understand and that is simply fine. Nothing scary about guns, only the criminals that use them.

I found myself using a pocket knife to do alot.

Also if you need to use it as last resort your in some deep crap.

There is pro's and cons of every type of knife. But pocket knifes are definitely the best.

When you have a tool on you you tend to use it alot.

I daily a flashlight for IDK how many year went though two maglites before I went to streamlight.

people: Why don't you use a phone light?

Can you hold your phone in your mouth hands free while walking or doing work?

Can you ID something from more than 5 feet?

I agree though, I go to Chicago a lot, one time was during COVID while things were heated I kinda wanted a gun at that time but couldn't (too young).

I’ll contribute my home EDC. The only thing that really changes of this is which gun. When it’s too hot for a sweatshirt I swap the Glock 17 with my 23. The 23 is small enough I can hide it under a loose shirt.
Glock 17/23, some sort of water flavoring, phone, tobacco, wallet, lighter, keys and hair tie.

Its ok, they get mis-identified alot. The Newhaven and the Maveric are virtually identical, the new haven is 30 years older lol. The Ruger kicks like a mule, lol.

I'm not sure how to describe it but it just feels lite build for the design. My M16 and M4 felt better built, I mean yeah they are but its noticeable.

I think the ar is an oracle model tbh, and if I remember correctly its dpms cheapest one.

*edit... it might just be me 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure how to describe it but it just feels lite build for the design. My M16 and M4 felt better built, I mean yeah they are but its noticeable.

I think the ar is an oracle model tbh, and if I remember correctly its dpms cheapest one.

Makes sense. when you do budget that happens you get really worse material.

A lot. Think of a 30-06 plus 25-35% kick.

Don't take this the wrong way.

The only things I have shot is a 20 Guage shotgun and a crossbow. But 30-06 is somewhat bigger than 308 iirc so thats alot of kick.
