Post your daily carry?

Nine Tailed Fox

Still not old enough to purchase a pistol and to have a concealed carry permit (and yet up until last year, I could go out and buy cigarettes if I desired that), but not much has changed from my daily carry from when I took my original picture outside of the addition of an iPhone SE. Still have my Saturn, still have that wallet.

Here we go, my iPhone 6 Plus had just enough battery life (in its almost completely busted battery) to take a picture of what I've got.

Again, still got the Saturn L300.2 wagon, still got the same wallet, just a new phone and soon enough, a Glock.

  • 4 weeks later...

This is what I carry in my school Backpack:

IMG_20201215_185312.thumb.jpg.3be200bec356e318518e1d1ccb7f5bbc.jpg

I've only got one day of school per week on Tuesday.

  • Code 10 Backpack
  • iPad 8th Gen 2020 edition Space Grey 128GB with the Apple Pencil 1 and Apple Smart Keyboard Folio. I have always turned ProtonVPN on on the iPad.
  • Xtorm 65W Charger and Xtorm USB C to lightning Cable
  • Pencil case, coloring pencils, pencil sharpener, A4 Folder, A5 Folder and A4 Plastic folder thing.

What I carry in my pockets on a school day are my daily driver phone which is still the Oppo Reno 2Z, Sony WF-1000XM3s, wallet, keys and enough Medical Masks in a plastic bag. I didn't take a photo of my Sports bag which is just a T-shirt, Shorts and Shoes from Nike + which ever Axe Deo I'm using that week.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

It was my calling, combined computer systems/networking and mechanical hands on work with design and theoretical design testing into a crazy mashup of different projects. I rarely do the same thing multiple days in a row so it's never been boring.

(also happens to be why I disappear from the forum for weeks and then burst back in Kool-Aid style)

I can understand the theory of concealed carry for some people in very specific jobs but for the average person it really seems unnecessary.

There have been times where I wished I had one but that's working oversees in sketchy places where we had security teams anyway.

Always sounded like a limp prosthetic for people who are too self absorbed to realize the world doesn't even know they exist.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree.

The likelyhood of me needing to defend myself in a violent encounter is low. However, if I do ever end up in that situation, I want to be able to defend myself as effectively as possible. Due to my age/college rules, this looks like martial arts training in my past, as well as carrying pepper spray.

Once I am legally able to, I probably will be EDC'ing a firearm: again, not because it is likely to be necessary, but because if I am in that situation, it could end up saving not just my life, but the lives of those around me.

I hope that sheds light on it? I respect those who don't have concern for their safety, but I do. Your mileage can and will vary.

Best defence, live in Canada. We just don't shoot each other so open or concealed carry is unnecessary.

Absolutely, like I said "I understand the theory" it's the same as my carrying safety glasses at work, might not need them but for some people in specific situations (or jobs) they may feel like it's necessary.

I'm fortunate to be in both cross sections of extremely unlikely to be bothered (6'2 250 size of a linebacker) and have a job where personal security is amply provided (at times it even feels excessivly provided) so I've become desensitized to the feeling of safety everywhere I go.
