Monitor cant change to 144hz

Hello i finished building my pc and its all setup and i have a 144hz monitor, when i try to change from 60hz to 144hz in the settings the only option is 64hz, does anyone kmow how to fix this (btw i tried with hdmi and also displayport)

Hello i recently bought a 144hz curved 1080p viewsonic monitor and i tried to swap the settings from 60hz to 144hz but the max option is only 64hz, what else can i do to change to 144hz, (i tried displayport and hdmi and both dont go to 144hz)

Have you tried DDU and latest drivers?

What GPU do you have? Max. supported refresh rate depends on the HDMI/DP version of your GPU and the monitor. The lowest common version is used.

This is because I have a 144Hz AOC 24G2U and I had a CD-ROM that came with it for software called AOC G-Menu. 

I had to change the refresh rate in that first then I could go into Nvidia Control Panel and change it in there.

Yes and i fixed the problem( with a different method) i unplugged the gpu and plugged it back in and it worked, anyways i really appreciate your help
