Single use, so why would you even bother. Maybe worth keeping on you in an emergency, but certainly not for everyday use.

I think these have been around for a while. But they make reusable ones with enough charge to make it to a charger that are the size of an iPod shuffle so these are truly pointless to get.

I am going to agree with the rest of the forum on this one, and I am not a "green thumb" kind of guy. This is a disgraceful use of resources and it angers me that a company would even manufacture it. What good does it do to put a biodegradable paper shell around a one time use battery, that is not biodegradable? I guess marketing? Although, then it might encourage the idiots of the world to buy these and throw them on the ground after using them. "Hey, it's BiOdEGrAdAbLe".

these have existed for years and are still just as stupid as the first day they were released. a real powerbank isn't even that inconvenient to carry around, these are more to be sold at gas stations/small stores where there is no other way to charge your phone in an emergency, they should NOT be used for day-to-day charging

While I dislike the idea of these just as much as everyone else here, the purpose of them is generally to be sold at festivals and other places where an outlet is difficult to get access to. Still awful, but from festivals that would charge $5+ for a bottle of water it makes sense. Fun fact, most of these actually have recycled rechargeable lithium batteries inside, and they're significantly cheaper than buying a lithium battery on its own. You'll need to supply the charging/load balancing circuitry on your own, but they make pretty slick batteries for homemade rechargeable devices.
