2TB Samsung EVOPlus shows as 232GB in disk management

asblackney

Hello All,

I am trying to upgrade my Dell XPS 9570 from the 512GB m.2 SSD to a 2TB samsung 970 EVOPlus. I created a bootable USB flash drive to put a fresh install of windows on the new drive but it threw up an error saying windows can only be installed on a GPT drive not MRB. no problem I thought cmd -> diskpart -> clean -> convert GPT then install windows. when I did the install the 2TB drive only shows as a 232GB drive in disk manager with no unallocated space? any ideas would be appreciated.

Regards,

2TB paper weight owner

What does it show under Disk Management in Windows?

Edit... I guess disk manager is same.
