Linus loves the model M, so when is he getting one of these?

it's a new model F and they are finally shipping.

 

I would love to see what Linus thinks about them, especially with him being the resident boomer.

I mean, the design is pretty similar to the Model M so I can't imagine it being a radically different experience, also the Model F is far less popular than the Model M.

The biggest difference is that the Model M is buckling spring over membrane, and Model F has a capacitive PCB (and inherent NKRO). The spring is also narrower on the Model F, with thinner, sharper-feeling tactility in my experience - actuation force is apparently also lighter but I couldn't tell when I tried the two of them. Model F is famously pingier in sound but that's related to the case materials too.
