You can connect it only to the Molex. It will run at full power all the time.

 

 The 4 pin is for both power and using the mobo or OS to control the fan.

 

 Probably not a good idea to plug both in simultaneously.

 I bought 2 case fans (they're both the same) and when I checked their cables they have a 4 pin and molex connectors. These 2 are going to be my intake fans on the front of the case. My question is, is it required to connect the 4 pin connector to the motherboard? Or I can just connect it to the molex?
